Digital literacy training was conducted in schools, colleges and madrasas
To raise awareness about digital literacy at secondary and higher secondary level, digital literacy training was held this afternoon with 81 educational institutions of Rajshahi division. At the initiative of the Department of Information and Communication Technology, the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) has been implementing a project titled 'Establishment of Safe E-mail and Digital Literacy Center for the Government of Bangladesh'.
Today's training was a part of the nationwide implementation of this project to ensure a safe internet experience for the people of the country. 415 teachers from 8 districts of Rajshahi division participated in the training.
Mr. Md. Saiful Alam Khan, Project Director of the concerned subject was the chief guest of the Digital Literacy Training Program. Explaining the need for digital literacy in his speech, he said, “It is very important to ensure school level participation in digital literacy activities. Because today's students are the leaders of tomorrow.
To ensure digital citizenship, you need to start working with them. The training program is conducted online. 415 teachers from Pabna, Chapainawabganj, Sirajganj, Bogra, Rajshahi, Joypurhat, Naogaon and Natore participated.
